The sun rises and eventually the moon takes its place. Days pass, nights go by unaccounted.
Transportation of outside goods has been very favorable these days, better yet how they arrive just at the right time. Hiccups are excused as traveling through the desert has its difficulties. The folk of the Kingdom would know.
Carts come to a buckling halt after having been qualified inside the tall barriers of the caged community, built up from nothing but desperation. Truly impressive.
Handful of guards surround the cart, securing the cart until their inspectors and staff step forth. Hands come and dig through all the goods, peeking, checking, making sure everything is brought as agreed. And it sure is, everything is accounted for. With a nod and the wave of a hand, second phase of work begins. Bags and boxes are carried outside the carts, containers that contain crucial things for these here desert dwellers. One by one, not missing a beat, until an envelope not known to them prior was spotted on the bottom of a cart.
The envelope was picked up and passed over many hands until it reached an inspector. It had no sender or destination address, the sender's name was a doodled star and the only clear thing was that whatever this envelope contained was addressed to Vital. It had a glittery blue wax seal with a star on its center, it didn't seem like a random letter. How odd.
Whispers were quick to form over this discovery but their work was not done, being commanded to fix their attentions to what actually mattered.
Someone else will have to deal with this.
